Vehicle and Pet Tracking

About Excubia

Two people in Rotherham who got tired of how this industry sells

Between us we've spent years on the inside of enterprise software and telematics, watching customers get locked into long contracts, overpriced hardware they didn't choose, and support that stops the day the ink dries. We built Excubia because the underlying problem, knowing where something you care about is right now, is simple, and the way it's sold isn't.

So: our own platform, our own servers in the UK, hardware bought outright rather than rented, and no minimum contract. If the product is any good, it should be able to survive a customer being free to leave.

On the name. Excubiae was the Roman night watch: the guard set while everyone else slept. We liked that the job was defined by attention rather than by force. It's where our line comes from: keeping watch over what's yours.

We're twenty minutes away, not twenty emails away

Excubia is run from Rotherham by two people who answer their own messages. If you need a tracker fitted, one of us fits it. If something's wrong at seven in the morning, you're dealing with someone who can do something about it.

Fitting across Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster and Barnsley. Self-install available if you'd rather do it yourself.

Most tracking companies sell you a three-year contract and a phone number that rings out. We took the opposite view: earn it monthly, or lose it monthly.

What a tracker is, and what it isn't

A GPS tracker gives you the location data to act quickly. It doesn't fetch your dog back or return a stolen van, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you a feeling rather than a product.

It depends on mobile coverage, on battery or vehicle power, and on the device staying where it was put. We build the most reliable thing we can, and we tell you plainly where the limits are. That's the deal.

What we won't tell you. We won't promise recovery. We won't quote you an accuracy figure. We won't claim the signal never drops, because it does: it's a mobile network, and neither of us owns it. What we will do is give you the location data to act fast, tell you plainly when something isn't working, and reply when you get in touch.
